In loving memory of my DAD who passed away on August 1st 2010 from throat & lung cancer. He is being laid to rest today, 14th August 2010.
Daddy, I know you're in Heaven, I saw you sail there. How amazing that your crossing would be by the means you loved best! I'm grateful for the time I had with you and for the opportunity to tell you I love you one last time.
Rest in peace, Daddy—my friend, my hero, my dad with the ever-present playful smile and naughty sense of humour. We will all miss you!Until we meet again, I know you'll be watching over us.

ReplyDeleteI just heard from my mum who said the funeral went brilliantly. She said my tribute and my sister's eulogy had the effect we wanted.
My dad didn't like misery in any form, and we wanted to bring a light touch with humour in our tributes. It blesses my heart to hear we achieved it!
