Dish The Pie With Monique & Guest Charlotte Cooper Peanut Butter Cookie Cups & REAL LOVE #CandyHeartsRomance #TWRP

Dish The Pie With Monique & Charlotte Cooper

Please help me welcome fellow Candy Hearts Romance author Charlotte Cooper to Dish The Pie. Today we'll be talking Peanut Butter–Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups and Real Love, her new Candy Hearts release.

Welcome to Dish The Pie, Charlotte. I think you know what my first question is going to be...

Do you like desserts? What is your favourite and would you share the recipe with us?

Charlotte: Without a second thought…YES!  These Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip cups aren’t necessarily my favourite, but they are quick and simple and delicious.

Monique: Quick—simple—delicious...my kinda pie! Tell us more.

Charlotte: I hate to cook! In fact, until this Christmas I survived three years without an oven…so needless to say, baking isn’t a high priority. Having said that, I love these quick and easy “cookies” and make them regularly for barbeques and get togethers.

Peanut Butter–Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups

You will need:
Photo: Charlotte Cooper
1 roll chocolate chip cookie dough
36 small peanut butter cups

Cut cookie dough into thirds, and then cut each 3rd into three again.

You now have nine sections….divide each into quarters.  Total 36 pieces.

Spray a mini muffin pan and drop one quarter into each section.  (Since my pan only holds 12, I obviously do this process 3 times)

Bake for time on package.

Let cool for a minute or two, and then press the peanut butter cup into the middle of each cookie. Don’t cool too long or the cookie will harden and you won’t get the pb cup inserted.

Let cool completely before trying to remove from pan.

Monique: Have you ever eaten pie for breakfast? If so, what was it?

Charlotte: Quite often, actually.

Monique: What’s your favourite food?

Charlotte: I love a good steak, only to be seconded by a good burger. Where’s the beef?

Monique: I have to admit to not being a big fan of red meat. When was the last time you cried?

Charlotte: I’m a 14 year breast cancer survivor and I received a positive biopsy result just before Christmas. Needless to say, Christmas 2015 had its ups and downs.

Monique: I’m so sorry to hear that, Charlotte. I pray all goes well and you make a complete and swift recovery. Sending you lots of love and hugs. Which season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) is your favourite and why?

Charlotte: Summer. If I had my choice, I’d live in shorts and flip flops all year round…not something that is done in Southern Ontario. I hate winter and snow, and we didn’t have any snow here until 12/29 and I was sooo loving  it!

Monique: I’m a total summer girl too, and if there’s a beach in sight, I’m in heaven. Are you married? How did you meet your husband? How did he propose? How long have you been together?

Charlotte: My husband and I met the first week of university and dated for all 4 years. We got engaged but broke up before the wedding. We each went on to marry someone else, but then after those relationships failed, we ended up together again.

He proposed while we were cleaning for a Christmas party. He then took the ring back so we could hide it from the party guests.  When he then announced our engagement at the party, he pulled out a ring that was twice the size of the one from earlier that day.

Monique: Oh, Charlotte, how utterly romantic! I love reunion/second chance romances, and yours sounds like it ought to be told. Speaking of which, would you tell us a bit about your new release?

Real Love
A Candy Hearts Romance
Charlotte Cooper

As a young girl, Monda was placed into the tutelage of Mistress Teevac. Trained to use her empathic skills and educated in the ways to please a man, Monda is on her way to her new mate and master when her spaceship crashes. Rescued by a handsome space lieutenant, who literally makes her heart race, Monda’s eyes and heart are opened to new possibilities.

When Lieutenant Patrick Lancaster looks at the exotic Monda, he sees beautiful not alien. With an instinct to protect her and the desire to have her, he’d be honored to call her his own, but the starts have something else in mind. Or do they?

Her face more angular than most. Her lips, thick. A constant pout, like she waited to be kissed. When he looked at her big blue eyes and long blue eyelashes, he thought exotic, not alien.

“Monda.” He reached to wipe the tear. No, it was not his place. He shoved his hand into his pocket. “I didn’t mean you. I don’t think of you as alien. I meant other aliens, like the green guys from Salvador. Have you seen them? About a meter high with pointed teeth. You can’t tell the males from the females except when they have their armor off.” He wanted to pull her into a hug. To comfort her and show her how sorry he felt. But she was promised to another, and while he might be an idiot, his mother also raised him as a gentleman. “Really, Monda, I’m sorry.”

“I know,” she whispered.

“What I mean is you’re an alien but not an alien. You don’t look like an alien. Of course any guy would be honored to have a girlfriend like you.”

“Any guy, but you.”
